Istanbul, Turkey – 11 October 2009 - Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAGI) signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with Karinca YMM Company, one of the most prestigious Turkish accounting and auditing firms. The Agreement grants the Turkish company the right to use the trademark of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International in marketing and performing auditing, consulting and taxation assignments in Turkey, Europe and Central Asia.
The agreement was signed in a special ceremony held on this occasion at the Intercontinental Hotel - Istanbul in the presence of a large number of media people. It was signed by TAGI representative, its Executive Director Mr. Ahmed Abu Humos, and for the Turkish side by Mr. Mustafa Koc, the Managing Partner of Karinca YMM. The Turkish company seeks to utilize TAGI's world wide network of offices and its membership in the Forum of Firms ((FOF) of the International Federation of Accountants in New York. It should be noted that TAGI is the only member of the Forum from the Arab region and the Middle East.
Mr. Ahmed Abu Al-Humos delivered a statement during the signing ceremony in which he expressed his belief that the Agreement constituted a start for a broader cooperation between the two companies in particular and the Arab and Turkish private sectors in general; and opened the door to other forms of cooperation for the interest of both sides. Mr. Mustafa Koc, the Managing Partner of the Turkish company affirmed that he was pleased to sign the agreement with an Arab international leading company in the field of accounting, auditing and intellectual property protection. He expressed his belief that the Agreement would open opportunities not only for the two sides but also for the Arab businesses that wish to expand their operations towards Turkey and Europe and for Turkish businesses that wish to invest and operate in the Arab region.
The Turkish media, particularly the printed press, highlighted the news of the Agreement signing supported with pictures, including well-known Turkey newspapers such as Hurriyet, Dunya, Zaman, Referans, Taraf, Aksam and others.
