Amman, Jordan - 8 October 2009 - Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society recently organized the events of the First Architect Forum under the title "Between the student and the architect" at the Society's premises in Amman. The Forum, the first of its kind in Jordan, hosted Engineer Bilal Hammad, an experienced architect; and was attended by a large number of engineering students from various Jordanian universities.

The organization functions of the Forum were carried out by the students of architecture at the University of Al Al-Bayt under the patronage and supervision of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society. Engineer Hammad presented his experience in one of the most important projects executed by Amman Municipality in Ras Al-Ain area of the Jordanian capital. The project comprises the Al-Hussein Cultural Center and Al-Nourain Mosque. The Office of Engineer Hammad, have been selected to implement the project after having submitted the best design for the project in a special competition.
Eng. Bilal explained to the participants how the project was executed, the materials used, the architectural and civil drawings. He also addressed the subject of deriving modern western architecture which combine type, form and design novelty as in the case of the architecture of towers; and introducing such modernity into the city of Amman.
The Forum hosts, for each session, a practicing architect who has his own experience in architecture in order present it to and discuss it with the participants, and answer their questions.
The first session of the Architect Forum was noticeably attended by a large number of participants. The discussions were highly interactive and informative. Eng. Bilal effectively communicated with the students and exchanged views with them. At the end of the gathering, the students who organized and managed the Forum thanked the staff of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society for sponsoring the Forum and for their significant contribution to its success, particularly the efforts made to ensure good attendance, the services provided by the Knowledge Society and the enough space made available for the Forum task force.
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society was the latest initiative by Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman and Founder of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Group as part of his Group's corporate social responsibility. The Society is meant to be a hub for thought and knowledge, and the development of Arab youth and human resources.
