AKMS Launches ACQM Program


AMMAN -The Arab Knowledge and Management Society (AKMS) launched on July 29, 2007  the "Arab Certified Quality Manager" (ACQM) program in cooperation with the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business (TAGCB) - German Jordanian University.

The ACQM, the first program of its kind in the Arab region, is designed to provide the participants with high quality training and education in order to meet the needs of the local as well as Arab labor market.

President of the Arab Knowledge and Management Society (AKMS), Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, extended his gratitude and appreciation to the AKMS Board of Directors and all its members for their efforts in contributing to the success of this program.

"This program is an excellent opportunity to create a solid base for intellectuals who seek a better future," he said.

"Every candidate, who passes the examination prepared for the ACQM Certificate, will have the opportunity to work at one of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) offices located in 60 different countries," Abu-Ghazaleh added.

The program consists of seven training courses; the first training course entitled "Core Concept of Leadership and People Management" was initiated on the date of the launch.

Fifteen participants enrolled in this program from companies involved in the field of quality in Jordan from the public and private sectors. Upon finishing the course, participants will sit for the examination in September 2007 to obtain the ACQM certificate.

Examinations and training will be supervised by experts with distinguished scientific and academic qualifications as well as long expertise in the fields of management, most importantly, quality management.

The event was attended by a number of representatives from the public and private sectors, diplomats, media figures and high ranking personalities.
