Abu-Ghazaleh presented HRH Prince Al-Walid bin Talal with the Encyclopedia of Excellence and Civilization Award for his outstanding efforts worldwide in supporting economic, scientific and charitable endeavors
RIYADH --- May 28, 2008 --- Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of the Encyclopedia of Excellence and Civilization Committee on Wednesday presented HRH Prince Al-Walid bin Talal with the Encyclopedia of Excellence and Civilization Award for his outstanding efforts worldwide in supporting economic, scientific and charitable endeavors.
Meanwhile, the Encyclopedia’s Secretary-General HRH Prince Nayef Bin Mamdouh Bin Abdul Aziz also presented Prince Al-Walid bin Talal an honorary Encyclopedia membership certificate in recognition of his global activities.
HRH Prince Al-Walid bin Talal expressed his appreciation for this award, while wishing those involved in the Encyclopedia’s committee continued prosperity and success.
The award ceremony was attended by Mr. Osama Touri, the Encyclopedia’s Executive Director, and representatives from international news agencies, satellite channels and journalists.
HRH Prince Al Walid is heavily involved in charitable activities across the Middle East, Asia and Africa, and is estimated to donate more than $100 million annually to charity.
The Encyclopedia of Excellence and Civilization Award aims at honoring distinguished individuals in various fields around the world.
