Memorandum of understanding to be formulated between UNESCO and TAGorg
PARIS --- June 25, 2008 --- Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) delivered a lecture on capacity-building at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) headquarters in Paris, at a seminar that included UNESCO directors and a team of TAGorg experts.

Abu-Ghazaleh talked about capacity-building at the level of TAGorg and how this area serves the Arab countries, while focusing on IT as the main tool that facilitates this.
He explained that TAGorg’s policy is dependent on capacity-building as a culture whose main beneficiary is those who own it and not who provide it, adding that it is an ongoing process that mustn’t stop.
The lecture was followed by a dialogue between Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh and the participants, which concluded with agreeing to formulate of a Memorandum of Understanding between TAGorg and UNESCO. The Memorandum will draw up a comprehensive strategic plan for cooperating in capacity-building at the level of the Arab region; this will include constant education, qualification and training in the public and private sectors.
