Quality Control Department Holds Training Course on IFRS and ISA

AMMAN - The Quality Control Department conducted two training courses titled “International Financial Reporting Standards” (IFRS) and “International Standards on Accounting (ISA) Basics Level” June 21-24, 2008 at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business (TAGCollege) as part of the internal training program at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAGI)

The training course was delivered by the Director of Quality Control Department, Ayman Hasan entitled “International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Accounting (ISA) Basics Level”. The course aims at meeting the needs of TAGI junior auditors and accountants, and providing them with the latest information and knowledge in the fields of IFRS and ISA.

Hasan, noted, “This TAGI Internal Training Plan (TITP) came in line with Mr. Chairman Talal Abu-Ghazaleh’s vision to deliver quality training to TAGI professional auditors and accountants to help them with their daily work”

Hasan added, “I am proud to be part of this Plan as it is our duty in Quality Control Department to bring hands-on knowledge and professional know-how.”

On the other hand, Tariq Al Saheb, junior auditor from TAGI Amman said, “The training course enhanced my knowledge in implementing IFRS and ISA, which in return will help me perform my work more efficiently, according to those standards.”

Rodrigue Bachaalany, junior auditor from TAGI Beirut office said, “This training course will make me more professional in my work and will help me understand more IFRS and ISA.”

The Quality Control Department started to conduct the first TITP in TAGI Abu Dhabi office on May 8, 2008 and will continue till November 25, 2008.

The training courses were held in Jeddah, Amman, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Manama, Khobar, Muscat, Khartoum, and Doha and delivered by TAGI team of experts; Ayman Hasan,. Husni Ilyan, Mahmoud Qasem, Hasan Takrori, Fuad Pharaon,. Ammar Ahmad, and. Nadem Shilleh.

TAGI Quality Control Department’s main objective is to maintain and develop higher level of quality and professional practice in the fields of auditing, financial consulting, and internal auditing according to the standards and pronouncements promulgated by
international bodies.
