The ACQM program seeks to help participants acquire a range of necessary skills, in order to analyze quality-related problems and carry out strategies to solve them

AMMAN --- July 21, 2008 --- As part of the ongoing cooperation between the Arab Knowledge and Management Society (AKMS) and the Institute of Leadership and Management, the specialized Arab Certified Quality Manager (ACQM) program is being held for the second time throughout August 2008.

The program is comprised of approximately ninety hours that includes various modules such as Essentials of Quality Management, Total Quality Management Tools, Core Concepts of Leadership and People Management, Strategic Planning in Quality Management and others.

The ACQM program seeks to help participants acquire a range of necessary skills, in order to analyze quality-related problems and carry out strategies to solve them, along with developing and enhancing researches and applications in the field of quality management principles and practices.

AKMS Manager Ms. Hanan Hidmi stated that the program differs from others in the field in that it is comprehensive in addressing issues within the Arab environment.

She said “AKMS seeks to open training centres for the qualification programs it will offer, in order to keep up with the progress that the Arab region is witnessing.”

According to Ms. Hidmi, negotiations are currently ongoing with relevant parties for the launch of these centers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

The significance of the ACQM program is due to the vital role that quality plays globally. As such, AKMS is working towards providing scholarly and practical experience to help managers of plants, companies, societies and other entities to obtain the expertise necessary in the field of quality management.
