TAG-College to Establish Cooperation Ties with International Entities

AMMAN --- November 1, 2008 --- The Advisory Board of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business (TAG-College)/ the German Jordanian University (GJU) held its meeting on October 30, 2008 at the College headquarters to discuss the prospective of cooperation ties with international bodies and academies.

A number of foreign academic leaders from Britain, Australia and USA attended the meeting, headed by Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, the Board chairman, namely; Dr. Leonard Ferrari, the executive vice president of the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, California, Mr. Robert Jelly, director general of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Britain , Mrs. Jenny Lewis, executive director of Australian Council for Education Leaders, Australia, and Dr. Joichi Ito, CEO of Creative Commons Organization- New York.

Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that the College will create academic and professional cooperation with the bodies represented by those esteemed guests.

“One of our main achievements is the increase in the number of Master degree students which doubled to reach 200 this year. In addition, more specializations have seen the light such as master degrees in Management, Intellectual Property, MBA, Marketing, Accounting, Quality Management, Human Resources, Finance and Banking,” Abu-Ghazaleh said.

Furthermore, the Board discussed an agreement to be concluded between TAG-College and NPS for granting a joint-master degree in IT and establishing joint-doctorate programs in other specializations.

Apart from Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed by the Board with CIMA and the Australian Council for Education Leaders, the Board addressed the current efforts to establish a branch of TAG-College at the University of Damascus in Syria.
